6.1 SURCHARGES

In addition to the rates and charges pertaining to TelePacific's services described herein, certain surcharges apply. Such surcharges are calculated based upon the amount billed to the customer for TelePacific's services. These surcharges include, but are not limited to, the surcharge set forth below.

6.1.1 Universal Service Fund Surcharge. The monthly surcharge will be the FCC quarterly Universal Service Contribution Factor converted to a percentage and applied to all interstate and international services on a customer's bill. The current surcharge is 13.6% and is recalculated quarterly by the FCC.
6.1.2 Carrier Internet Access Service Fee. On a monthly recurring basis, TelePacific will charge each data customer the Fee based on transmission and network costs and on the applicable Federal Universal Service Fund contribution factor. The amount collected for this fee may be paid to our local exchange carrier from whom we purchase the transmission service associated with your data service or the Universal Service Administrative Company as administrator of the federal universal service fund as may be required by law. The current fee is 13.6% of data transmission and network costs and the applicable Federal Universal Service Fund contribution factor. The rate is recalculated quarterly by the FCC.
6.1.3 Long Distance Access Charge. The monthly recurring charge of $4.00 applies to each line, trunk, or channel that is presubscribed to the Company's Long Distance Service. For services such as SuperTrunk, a Long Distance Access Charge will apply to each presubscribed channel of the 24 channel service. The charge is applicable whether or not a long distance call is made. Only one Long Distance Access Charge applies per presubscribed line, trunk, or channel.

The surcharge does not apply to the Local Number Portability (LNP) Charge.
